production

production have been long, hard and tiring  especially for the tamiriki as they had to learn a song that was in Maori a language few in your group practise and learn lines. I was disappointed in myself as i din,t learn my lines quick enough and i did not put enough effort into learning my song. after Mrs Hobbs edited our song it was a lot easier. so on the nights i worked hard and did well. it was very fun.
the costumes were awesome. kahikatea productions are the best.

zoo trip 2017!

Copy of IMG_1403.JPGI jumped in back with surprise and fear as I saw the crocodile lieing on the chest๐ŸŠ. Silly me I thought it's dead. I glanced at the assortment of stuffed animals and skulls in the class room . would you like to pat the tuatara asked the zoo keeper

I patted the ruff hairy back of the little pig. I wondered why they had pigs at the zoo๐Ÿ– . I watched the baby pig snort happily as all the hands patted it.

I extended my hand to give the expectant giraffes the carrot. The giraffes  giant worm like tongue warped around the carrot like a boa constructor. the giraffes spots looked like some strange animal with muddy feet had ran all over the giraffes. I thought how funny it blue tongue looked.

the terrifying terrific tiger staked the keeper. I wonder why the fences were so tall.  the tigers looked  as still as statues. the tigers staking went wrong as it tail touch the electric fence.๐Ÿ…

climate change

Why do we suddenly think about something else when climate change is mentioned...
think ?...
because it makes us feel better. even more disgusting is that if green house gases were black we would be trying if not already stopped this growing problem
we can change climate change example. sure... the ozone layer it had a massive hole caused by CFC but we worked together and on it should be almost healed by 2050. if we work together we can save not just animals the earth but also us. here are some links to some video

Tapa Turtles

With Mrs white were have been learning about… tapa a a type of cloth made by some native island tribes
We were going to try and make it.
We  learned how to make it and started learning about symmetry, reflection, rotation.
We did math rotations and learnt so much I enjoyed it.1 Good Turn was my favorite rotation
So we started we drew our design in our sketch book and copied it onto a piece of wood
We drew a turtle on a piece of paper and cut it out we added design to the turtle in pencil
When we were done we traced over with indian ink and left to dry. I crumped and squashed a piece of paper until it was very very wrinkled  and then dyed it a light redy brown color and left to dry. I carved out my design on the block of wood. I got a roller and covered it in printing ink and stamped it 3 times on 2 stripes of paper and waited for them to dry. The next day I glued
It all together and it looked like this. Over all I had great fun:]
