Tapa Turtles

With Mrs white were have been learning about… tapa a a type of cloth made by some native island tribes

We were going to try and make it.

We  learned how to make it and started learning about symmetry, reflection,rotation.

We did math rotations and learnt so much I enjoyed it.1 Good Turn was my favorite rotation   

So we started we drew our design in our sketch book and copied it onto a piece of wood

We drew a turtle on a piece of paper and cut it out we added design to the turtle in pencil

When we were done we traced over with indian ink and left to dry. I crumped and squashed a piece of paper until it was very very wrinkled  and then dyed it a light redy brown color and left to dry. I carved out my design on the block of wood. I got a roller and covered it in printing ink and stamped it 3 times on 2 stripes of paper and waited for them to dry. The next day I glued

It all together and it looked like this. Over all I had great fun:]

swiming sports

the speakers blared out music it was swimming sports 2017 

everyone was in house colour I was in charge of the music 

as the day went on everyone went head to head finaly the top of the top were found

crunch! we walked through the gloomy pine trees of the Mountion   pirongia. "were is the track." I asked myself . Iheard mouning ahead a stream. the cold water soked my feet as I scrambeled across the the stream and up the muddy bank. "no!" I yelled an other stream and hour later we were truging up and down a long mountion biking track "watch out!" somone yelled. whiss a biker zoomed passed

Recycling

I grabed the green bin and raced to the office. Collecting the bin in an empty class was what I prefered I thought. I watched room10
rush round the room working hard. "Almost done" I said to myself quietly. I emptyed my bin and ran to return it.

inquiry term4 2016

For inquiry this term we did improving businesses.
The two choices were the ski grounds, or Taupo hot pool improvement.
I did the Taupo hot pools. I added a pool with fish in and a glass tunnel inside.

proud moment term 4 2016

I was proud when I completed my math test and found out that I stopped at a stage 8 question . I was  happy even though I got it wrong. 😉

 i was also was proud when i shared my problem and solution for an inquiry video that is going to be shared at kahikatia assembely
